These 2 demos mean a lot to me.
They mark the beginning, not only of Love Lies Bleeding
but also my journey as a musician.
First one has been composed in 1995 - 1996.
It was on a 4 tracks tape recorder. I did everthing (even playing drume machine...
with my fingers !), in my 16
years old bedroom. I remember this time as a birth of something
that still carries on in my being. I discoverd that I was able to create music that speaks
to myself. It was very intense. I spent hours and hours,
just composing songs, just for myself.
It was later on that some people made me realise that this music could be
something for other ears... Then, I started to spread the first demo by myself :
tape trading, etc.
Then I did the second demo, The Lady who didn't want to be,
released on Demonion Production, managed by a greek guy called "Evil Dark" (more well known,
now, as "I" from The one). It was in 1998.
Then, I stoped with demos, and this is another story...
Some people really helped me at that time. Thanks to Emrys,
Alex, Sylvie, Laurence, Lucie, Laure and my mother.

Certains vont bondir à l'idée de "rafraîchir" le black metal dépressif mais c'est bien à cette tâche que se consacre Funeral Fornication dans Solitude and Suicide. Les mélodies lancinantes tournent en boucle ("Channeling Volatile Energy"), Vultyrous hurle son désespoir à s'en déchirer les cordes vocales et la production est distante. Mais c'est surtout par les synthés qu'il surprend car ils sont très dramatiques voire théâtraux, ils nous attirent dans la tourmente comme le chant des sirènes... Jordan Vauvert

Le black metal atmosphérique et le froid, c'est une histoire d'amour ; les exemples — Paysage d'hiver, Lunar Aurora, et j'en passe — sont beaucoup trop nombreux. Mais L'Abîme des jours, L'écume des nuits, démo du groupe québécois Neige et Noirceur (qui comprend aussi une démo supplémentaire sur cette version), ça joue dans une autre cour. C'est le genre de froid qui prend par surprise, celui qui vous empêche de respirer. Les nappes ambiantes suivent le vent, se distordent : c'est effroyable. Jordan Vauvert
